Let me add this, the children involved didn't see this person for four years and the person was granted limited visitation and later counseling. Relinquished is a key card in my Yu-Gi-Oh deck, so I was wondering if there are any monsters with similar effects in Magic. If not, can anyone recommend a decent deck theme that would yield similar results? This is for casual play, not competitive.

If your opponent's monster gets an attack or defends boots. Do Relinquished gets it too when it takes control of that monster or just the original attack and defends of that monster.
